Solomons will be celebrating the 27th annual Christmas Walk Friday and Saturday, December 2 and 3, 2011. Events abound for all ages this festive weekend. Stroll our luminaria lit streets, enjoy our holiday decorations and activities.

Solomons Christmas Walk is held annually the first Friday and Saturday in December. It's a fun-filled evening of special children's activities, a live puppet show and open house at many of our businesses. Stroll through our luminaria streets as you enjoy the sights and the sounds of the season.

Enjoy: Christmas crafts, a live puppet show, shopping, refreshments, entertainment, fine dining, pet adoptions and the decorations that bring the Solomons area to life for the holidays. Event schedule and map

LIGHTED BOAT PARADE

Calling All Captains & Crew! The annual Solomons Lighted Boat Parade will be held on Saturday, December 3rd, weather permitting, during the Solomons Christmas Walk. This year’s parade will be hosted by the Solomons Business Association (SBA), the Solomons Island Yacht Club (SIYC), the Solomons Yachting Center (SYC) and the Patuxent River Sail and Power Squadron (PRSPS).

All boats, of any size, shape or make, will be most welcome. Come out and show the Solomons community your holiday spirit by decorating your boat. All that is required is to decorate your ship’s starboard side, decorate more if the moment strikes you. Prizes are awarded for Best Original Theme, Best Sailboat, Best Power Boat, and Best of Show. All participating boat owners receive a gift.

Ahoy Parade Viewers! Come out to watch the Solomons Lighted Boat Parade on Saturday, December 3rd. The parade kicks off at 6:15 from Solomons Yachting Center and heads up Back Creek, then down the creek for judging at Solomons Yachting Center. The parade will proceed up the Patuxent River along the boardwalk before returning to Solomons Harbor. Watch the parade from many of the restaurants and establishments on Back Creek or the Patuxent River Boardwalk!
